His photographs capture the ever changing moments of our world with a strong emphasis on color. Residing in suburban Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C., Weiblinger was one of the winners of the Library Gallery Competition for the 2015-2016 season at Montpelier Arts Center in Laurel, MD. I prefer subjects that lead to images with chromatic strength and use creative lighting to not only illuminate my subjects but also to give them a dream-like, surreal quality. The process of photography allows me to pursue the art of transforming everyday objects into images that progress from "everyday" to art. I believe my photographs are most successful when they reveal the subjects subtle elegance. My images have included: vibrant flowers, unique still life's, colorful maritime images, and landscapes. Until September 29, 2015 two of my images will appear in a regional juried exhibition at the Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital in Washington, DC. The juror is Mark Leithauser, at the National Gallery of Art.  The show runs until Sept. 29, 2015.  The Hill Center is located at 921 Pennsylvania Ave., SE.
